2025 Spotlight
The Free Community Pantry Project - $26,000
To help combat food insecurity, we partnered with local nonprofits to create 3 new community food pantries in Routt County. Located in Hayden, Yampa, and Oak Creek these food boxes are open 2/47 and provide free non-perishable food and sanitary items to all community members, no questions asked.
Located in small, rural towns these pantries support community members without reliable transportation, are unable to visit food pantries during business hours, or have other barriers to food access.
Moniker Foundation fully funded all three pantries including the bear proof box, wrap design and funding to restock the pantries. This project was done collectively with LiftUp Routt County, Oak Creek Library, Town of Yampa, and Hayden Congregational Church. The pantries are stocked by volunteers and program partners. We will continue this program in 2026 and beyond.
